Makers highlight product performance

The latest releases boast powerful pump-driven systems. Most feature multiple heat settings to deliver a commercial-quality seal.

Emphasizing product efficiency, suppliers in China are releasing food vacuum sealers with better components.

Makers are equipping models with higher-powered pumps for increased suction speed. Some of the new designs, for instance, have 400W motors and are capable of removing 20L of air per minute.

Consequently, many of China’s releases have a maximum vacuum strength of 75kPa. For optimized performance, companies are furnishing designs with knobs that allow pressure control. This renders the models suitable for packing even soft food and delicate objects.

Users can choose between manual and automatic modes, whichever is deemed more effectual. While the former allows customization, the latter lets the machine handle the whole process.

In most designs, the maximum sealing width is 300mm. To ensure air-tight packaging, suppliers are creating versions with multiple heat settings fit for various plastic densities. Depending on the bag’s thickness, sealing takes two to nine seconds. Models are commonly equipped with timers to facilitate this step.

Although many of the latest releases can support a range of packing materials, some products come with patented containers for optimal results. Bags designed specifically for the model are said to preserve food longer and eliminate freezer burn.

Taking efficiency a level higher, suppliers are integrating features that promote convenience. Among these, stamp printers enable instant impressing of date, time and other information onto the sealed bag.

Most models have easy-to-clean housings and removable drip trays. The latter is usually dishwasher-safe. Increasing user comfort further, several companies have reduced their products’ noise level to 75dB.
